Like all things in life, there are rules to making a playlist. At least, there should be. Without some sort of blueprint I wouldn't know when I was done or even what I was building. So stated below for all to see, and judge me by, are my set of criterion for a standard playlist.
1. 20 tracks. This keeps it within the length of an album. Not tiny, but not endless.
2. Don't repeat artists. Unless the songs are a set of some kind, there's a lot of other options before repeating the same band.
3. Don't use the same song on more than one list. Again, there are other options. If you see me use a song twice I loved the @#&* out of it.
Honestly, that's about it. Sometimes there's a theme and all the songs should sound the same. Sometimes things get random. I'll try to keep it interesting.
Again, these are my rules. Yours might be different. Don't let me (or anyone else) tell you what to do.
