Silence is the worst. That, in a nutshell, is what this blog will be about. Mostly there will be posts about music. I am an avid creator of what one used to call a Mixtape. Now, I believe that's a thing that indie hiphop artists make when they don't want to get all formal and make a for realsies Album. With the march of time and the advent of new technology, the proper name for a grouped sequence of songs is a Playlist. I make lots of them and I always have a lot to say about the playlists I make. Yet, I rarely have anyone to say it all to. And that is why I'm here.
Apart from a well crafted playlist, my other favorite thing is a good music video. You can expect to see some of those pop up around here as well. I've always thought that short film and popular music enhance each other and create a more complete experience that forms a lasting bond with the statement the artist(s) are trying to get across. Even if there is no real message in one or both, I still get more entertainment from a combined audio/visual piece that I do from just a song or a series of pictures.
I'm hoping that apart from an opportunity to stand on a soapbox and shout about music, that this can be a forum for discussion about what's posted. I almost never get feedback about what I should have added to a playlist (or what I shouldn't have included). I welcome constructive criticism and open minded discussion. It's actually what I'd like to see most here.
